BEHAVIOR TRAINING for COMPANION DOGS of all ages.
A variety of training options, including telephone & online consultations,
private in-home lessons and more.

Change your dog’s behavior,
by changing the way you relate to your dog.

Training should never be a battle of wills. Train your dog as a way to help him make good choices for living a successful life with people.

Using a customized strategy of environmental changes, coupled with proven effective positive reinforcement techniques, you can teach your dog to do the things you want, by aligning them with the things he wants. In that way, you can help your dog to succeed at living a good life: at peace and in harmony with his family and friends. Training will strengthen the bond you share with your dog, and create a greater sense of trust for both of you. And the methods used are safe, effective, and suitable for dogs and puppies of all ages, sizes, and temperament types.

About the K9 Educator

Kim has worked professionally with dogs for well over three decades. In addition to behavior modification, she’s trained, competed, and/or helped others to train their dogs in dog obedience, dog agility, tracking, and nose work. Her animal skills and experience resume include professional dog grooming, dog and cat anesthesia-free teeth cleaning, tattooing for pet identification, and recreational and swim therapy work at a canine physical rehabilitation center. Both the quantity and diverse nature of these experiences have allowed her to develop a true understanding of dog behavior, as well as keen insight into the workings of the canine mind; and an uncanny ability to achieve willing cooperation from animals of all kinds.

“Even when dogs exhibit what we consider to be problem behaviors, we shouldn’t think of them as “bad'“ dogs.
Behavior is nothing more than an strategy for solving problems or getting your needs met. This is true for all living creatures.
Most often what we consider to be problem behavior is simply natural dog behavior that people find undesirable.
By learning to recognize this, you will gain a deeper understanding of the logic behind your dog’s choices;
then you can shift your perspective away from blaming, and learn to help your dog in a positive way.”

Here’s what this client had to say:

“Without Kim, our smart, stubborn dog would not have turned in to the amazing companion she became. Kim loves dogs and knows them extremely well. She sees things others don't, so that you can work on those behaviors before they become issues. It takes work, but if you follow her lead, you will have a wonderful companion for many years to come.

I fully trust my 4 legged girl and she fully trusts me. “
